Cyngn has announced the issuance of a new patent for its autonomous vehicle and driving solutions, it said in a press release dated October 3. The patent protects the company’s novel same-loop adaptive simulation approach to enhance autonomous driving. The patent, US-11760368-B2, protects the company's approach that uses simulated and real-world driving signals to inform the movement of an autonomous vehicle.

This brings the company's total number of US patents to 15, according to the company’s CEO Lior Tal, who also said that the company is committed to innovation and is strategically expanding its patent portfolio to deliver the best possible product and protect its intellectual property.

Cyngn has also submitted additional patents for consideration in the coming years. It provides a seamless way for customers to adopt self-driving technology without high upfront costs or the need to replace existing vehicle investments.

Cyngn was granted five patents in September including:

  • System and method of same-loop adaptive simulation for autonomous driving
  • Granularity-flexible existence-based object detection
  • System and methods of adaptive trajectory prediction for autonomous driving
  • System and method of adaptive distribution of autonomous driving computations
  • System and method of large-scale automatic grading in autonomous driving using a domain-specific language.
