Black Sesame Technologies has partnered with LeddarTech to provide high-performance and cost-effective advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) solutions to Chinese and global automakers, it said in a press release dated Jan. 10. The collaboration aims to jointly develop and market a comprehensive portfolio of automotive hardware and software technologies.
The solution will include Black Sesame Technologies’ A1000 system-on-chip (SoC), and LeddarTech’s LeddarVision LVS-2+ surround-view premium highway assist and GSR 2022 AI-based, low-level fusion and perception stack. The partnership will enable up to SAE Level 2+ driving and parking functions, reduce sensor and total system costs, and provide a highway Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) stack. The solution will also feature a high-performing, cost-effective, 5-camera 5-radar (5V5R) sensor configuration.
The two companies will explore secondary market opportunities in the front-view, entry-level Level 2 and Level 2+ ADAS and autonomous driving segment. The scalable SoC platform and fusion perception architectures offer versatile and simplified development, reducing complexity.
