HiRain Technologies, a provider of intelligent driving solutions to Chinese original equipment manufacturers, has confirmed that it will mass-produce Mobileye’s EyeQ6 Lite-based advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Following production, the solution is expected to debut in the China auto market during the second quarter of 2024, based on a press release on Jan. 22.

Representing the latest product in Mobileye’s system-on-chip (SoC) portfolio, the EyeQ6 aims to bring enhanced performance and efficiency in both core and premium ADAS offerings. Leveraging the company’s vision-based sensing technology, the EyeQ6 Lite focuses on the real-time detection and analysis of its surroundings. The system’s advanced AI algorithms process this information, enabling precise decision-making across a variety of driving conditions. EyeQ6 Lite also supports cloud-enhanced ADAS, providing OEMs with a single solution for working with both the Chinese and international auto markets, and enables key safety features such as automatic emergency braking.

Through its partnership with HiRain, Mobileye’s EyeQ6 Lite was optimized for fitment into a variety of vehicles. Its compact design and lower power consumption enable it to be more easily integrated into the vehicle platforms offered currently — an element that Mobileye said makes the ADAS a pivotal component in intelligent transportation.
