Engineers of both automakers started work in 2013 on the codevelopment of the next-generation fuel-cell system

In a step into the future with an aim to commercialize hydrogen fuel-cell systems, top automakers General Motors and Honda announced the start of production at their 50/50 joint venture production facility, Fuel Cell System Manufacturing (FCSM), a first large-scale manufacturing JV to build fuel cells.
