German government funds vehicle-to-grid project aimed at stabilizing the power grid

The project is funded with €14.9 million by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK)

The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (Fraunhofer ISE) announced Feb. 21 that a team of scientists are working with a consortium of researchers, industry and users on a project named "BiFlex Industry — Bidirectional flexibility through fleet power plants in and around companies" to research how bidirectional-charging technology can be implemented technically and economically on vehicle fleet applications.
