Bridge of Weir Leather unveils two technologies to develop bio-based and biodegradable leather
BioTAN and FreeTAN will increase the bio-content and end-of-life biodegradability properties of leather, remove fossil fuel, oil-derived components and heavy metals from processes and products to achieve a circular future for natural leather.
Leather manufacturer Bridge of Weir Leather has developed BioTAN and FreeTAN technologies for the development of bio-based and biodegradable leather, it said in a press release dated March 20.
