Yazaki and Toray develop recycled resin for automotive connectors

Yazaki and Toray are displaying automotive wire harness connectors made using Toray's recycled PBT resin at the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2024

Yazaki Corporation and Toray Industries have jointly developed a recycled polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) resin grade that uses waste from manufacturing processes to produce connectors for automotive wire harnesses. The new resin has the potential to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from connector manufacturing while delivering the same performance characteristics as virgin materials.
