The new facility, expected to reach full production by 2033, will mass produce SiC for automotive, industrial, and cloud infrastructure

As reported in a press release on May 31, STMicroelectronics plans to open a new high-volume 200 mm silicon carbide (SiC) manufacturing facility for power devices and modules, including testing and packaging, in Catania, Italy.
