Hyundai and Kia invest $185 million in 42dot to boost software-defined vehicle strategy
The investment aims to accelerate the development of a standardized software-defined vehicle platform, with plans to implement it across their lineup starting in 2026
Hyundai and Kia are jointly investing more than 253 billion won (about $185 million) in 42dot, a global software center within Hyundai Motor Group (HMG), to fast-track the group’s software-defined vehicle strategy.
