Xiaomi plans to expand its driver assistance tech team to 2,000 by 2025 as part of a $648 million investment, aiming to enhance its electric vehicles with AI

According to a report published by Nikkei Asia on June 12, Xiaomi is intensifying its competition in China's electric vehicle market by planning to expand its team of driver assistance technology developers to 2,000 by 2025, starting with an increase to 1,500 by the end of this year. This move is part of its broader investment strategy in which Xiaomi will allocate ¥4.7 billion ($648 million), with ¥1.5 billion disbursed this year, toward advancing its driver assistance technology.
