As reported by Reuters on June 28, Toyota has planned to launch its first electric vehicle with an advanced autonomous driving system for the Chinese market in 2025. The joint venture between Toyota and Guangzhou Automobile Group aims to regain market share in China by catching up with Chinese rivals in hybrid technology, batteries and intelligent vehicles.
