Kobe Steel forms JV with China's Baowu for automotive aluminum
The partnership aims to produce aluminum panels for cars in China, focusing on CO2 reduction and recycling initiatives
Kobe Steel Ltd. has formalized a joint venture agreement with Baowu Aluminum Technology Co. Ltd. (Baowu Aluminum) and Baoshan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., both part of the China Baowu Steel Group Corp. Ltd. — the largest steel producer in China, to manufacture automotive aluminum panels in China.
