Mercedes-Benz recalls over 7,000 EQB electric crossovers due to fire risk
The recall affects EQB models produced between December 2021 and January 2025 over potential high-voltage battery pack short circuits
Mercedes-Benz has announced a recall of 7,362 EQB electric crossovers in the United States due to a potential fire risk associated with the high-voltage battery packs. The recall includes various models of the EQB series produced between December 13, 2021, and January 23, 2025, specifically the 2022-2024 EQB 250, EQB 3004Matic, and EQB 3504Matic. Despite not having received reports of warranty claims, service reports, or any incidents related to the defect in the US, Mercedes-Benz is proceeding with the recall as a precautionary measure.
