The Board of Regents has approved the $60 million project at its meeting held on Feb. 20

The University of Michigan plans to construct a new electric vehicle (EV) battery laboratory, broadening research and hands-on education in next-generation battery technologies on the Ann Arbor campus, according to a note published by the university on March 14.
