Trump raised the tariffs on imports from mainland China from 34% to 84% earlier in April and has since increased it further to 125%

Tesla’s plans to import undisclosed components from mainland China for its Cybercab and Semi electric trucks in the US were suspended after US President Donald Trump raised tariffs on the import of mainland Chinese goods amid deepening trade tensions, according to a news report published by Reuters on April 16.
