Altilium's EcoCathode process recycles critical metals, yielding high-performing EV batteries with potential for reduced import reliance

Altilium Metals, a UK-based battery material recycling company, has announced initial test results for the industrial scale assembly of electric vehicle battery cells using recycled materials at the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC). The electrochemical testing demonstrated that the performance of these recycled cells is comparable to those made from conventional primary materials, indicating the viability of recycled cathodes as an alternative to mined metals.
