New government measures aim to save drivers money and increase accessibility for electric vehicle chargepoints across the UK

The UK government is streamlining the process for installing electric vehicle chargepoints, eliminating the need for planning applications and potentially saving drivers up to £1,100 annually. This change, effective May 29, 2025, aims to make it easier and more affordable for drivers and businesses to install EV chargepoints by reducing paperwork.
