Illinois Commerce Commission approves ComEd's second Beneficial Electrification Plan focusing on EV adoption through various initiatives starting in 2026

ComEd has received approval from the Illinois Commerce Commission for its second Beneficial Electrification Plan, earmarking $168 million over three years starting in 2026 to advance transportation electrification in Illinois. This initiative builds on ComEd's previous $231 million investment from 2023 to 2025 aimed at promoting electric vehicle adoption and reducing emissions in northern Illinois. The plan focuses on assisting residential and non-residential customers in transitioning to EVs through various programs.
