The recall addresses a potential brake pressure sensor issue affecting the Chevrolet Silverado 4500 HD to 6500 HD models from 2019 through 2024.

General Motors (GM) is recalling over 62,000 vehicles due to a brake pressure issue that poses a fire risk, USA Today reported on June 26. The affected vehicles comprise various models of the Chevrolet Silverado, specifically the 4500 HD, 5500 HD, and 6500 HD trucks from the year 2019 to 2024. The company had informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of this recall on June 25, citing a potential leak in the brake pressure sensor assembly, which could lead to a short circuit and increase the fire risk during operation or while parked.
