Nissan plans job cuts, seek delayed payment option from suppliers to boost recovery efforts
The Japanese automaker plans to reduce costs by cutting 20,000 jobs, negotiating supplier terms and focusing on EV production
Nissan is implementing several measures as part of its recovery plan, which includes cutting 20,000 jobs, equivalent to about 15% of its global workforce, and negotiating with suppliers for extended payment terms to free up cash flow, according to a report by Electrek published June 30.
