The bill's removal of EV tax credits could harm US manufacturing and empower mainland China's transportation industry, groups warn

An electric vehicle advocacy group has called on the U.S. House to revise a Senate-approved bill that would eliminate the $7,500 tax credit for new electric vehicle sales and leases and the $4,000 credit for used EVs effective September 30. The Electrification Coalition emphasized that removing these credits could undermine the U.S. manufacturing industry and hand over control of the future of transportation to mainland China, urging the House to oppose the bill.
