Trade tensions are easing as key EDA firms restore access and ethane export licenses are rescinded

According to a Reuters report dated July 3, the United States has lifted export restrictions to China for chip design software developers and ethane producers, indicative of improving trade relations between the US and China. Key electronic design automation (EDA) software companies, including Synopsys, Cadence Design Systems and Siemens, have announced the restoration of access to their software for Chinese customers.
