Construction of battery and electrolyser gigafactories is progressing, with the battery factory scheduled to start operations in 2026 at a capacity of 40 GWh per year, with the provision to expand it to 100 GWh in the future

Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries (RIL) is intensifying its focus on clean energy, which plans to launch a mega battery production facility by 2026, develop a solar electricity project that exceeds the size of Singapore, and achieve 3 million metric tons of green hydrogen capacity by 2032.
