GWM integrates Raytron’s thermal camera into its third-generation ADAS
Raytron's thermal camera in GMW's Tank 500 detects heat signatures, improving safety on challenging roads
GMW has introduced its latest Tank 500 SUV, featuring Raytron's thermal camera integrated into its third-generation Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). Unlike traditional headlights and visible cameras, which depend on reflected light and may be ineffective in adverse conditions, infrared thermal imaging detects thermal radiation emitted by objects. This technology provides real-time images regardless of ambient light, helping drivers to identify pedestrians, vehicles, cyclists, and animals in challenging environments.
