Somerset Council in the UK secures £3.78 million to expand EV charging infrastructure
The funding supports installation of 1,606 charge points, with 25% dedicated to rural areas, ensuring equitable EV infrastructure access
Plans to introduce on-street electric vehicle charge points and expand Somerset's EV charging network are expected to progress significantly as the Somerset Council has received £3,783,000 in fresh funding from the UK government's Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund.
