Infineon's CoolGaN Automotive Transistor 100 V G1 family meets AEC-Q101 standards, enabling efficient power solutions for advanced automotive systems

Infineon Technologies has unveiled its first gallium nitride (GaN) transistor family qualified to the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC) standard for automotive applications. The company has begun supplying samples of the CoolGaN Automotive Transistor 100 V G1 family, which adheres to AEC-Q101 standards and includes high-voltage CoolGaN Automotive Transistors and bidirectional switches. These innovations cater to the increasing demand for efficient power conversion solutions in automotive features such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), modern climate control, and infotainment systems, all of which require higher power outputs while minimizing battery strain.
