Hyundai Motor begins hydrogen fuel-cell facility construction in South Korea
Hyundai's new facility, backed by 930 billion won, will produce hydrogen fuel cells and PEM electrolyzers by 2027
Hyundai Motor Co. has initiated the construction of a new hydrogen fuel-cell production facility in Ulsan, South Korea, with a groundbreaking ceremony. The facility is funded with an investment of 930 billion won (approximately $648 million) and is slated for completion by 2027. Once operational, it will produce 30,000 fuel cell units and PEM electrolyzers annually.
