The US federal vehicle safety agency extends its investigation to 286,000 GM vehicles for engine-related safety concerns, following consumer complaints.

The United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has initiated a new investigation into General Motors (GM) vehicles concerning engine failure risks, following several consumer complaints, Detroit Free Press reported on Oct. 29.
