WeRide's driverless robo-taxis join Swiss pilot project to study autonomous vehicles in public transport integration

WeRide announced that its robo-taxi has received a permit from Switzerland's Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) to operate autonomously on public roads in the Furttal region of Zurich. This marks the first driverless robo-taxi permit for passengers issued in Switzerland. With this approval, WeRide has autonomous driving permits in eight different countries, including Switzerland, mainland China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Belgium and the United States.
