Honda forms lithium battery venture with GS Yuasa
Business capitalised at ¥15bn
Honda has started a joint venture with battery maker GS Yuasa to manufacture lithium-ion batteries for gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles. The OEM owns 49% stake in the unnamed venture, while the remaining stake lies with GS Yuasa.
