Magna plans to shift van production from GM to GAZ Group
Unite, Magna and the British government to discuss the matter on 7 October 2009
Problems in the Opel-Magna deal appear to be endless. On 2 October 2009, British union accused Magna of planning to move its van production from GM’s plant in Luton (UK) to Gaz Group in Russia. The plant in Luton employs 1,400 people and is GMs only plant in Europe that produces commercial vehicles.
