Starts 2010 with on a positive note by reporting considerable sales growth in first quarter

Dana has started fiscal 2010 strongly with a 25% increase in sales for the first quarter ended 31 March 2010, after posting a decline of around 2% in the fourth quarter of 2009, with an overall sales drop of 35.4% on yearly basis. The decline was attributed to lower industry production volumes in 2009 that led adjusted EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation) to decline. Net loss however was lower in the final quarter.
