Tower to close down aluminum foundry in Canada

Closure to cost company US$19.9m

Tower Automotive Inc. will stop production at an aluminum foundry and mini-mill in Toronto (Canada) by 31st August 2006. This move will cut costs and improve efficiency. The company had filed for bankruptcy in February 2005 and is under the process of restructuring its business.
