Suzuki will use freed-up capacity to produce more vehicles under its own brand.

Nissan will end procurement of minivehicles under an original equipment manufacturing (OEM) arrangement with Suzuki as it prepares to begin its own production, reports financial daily the Nikkei. Nissan ended procurement of the Roox (Suzuki Palette) this spring and will cease procurement of the Moco (Suzuki MR Wagon) as early as the next fiscal year. Instead, Nissan will produce the Moco's successor at its own facilities in the Kyushu region.
