Chery relocates assembly from Ukraine to Russia

Likely that the recent continued conflict in the region has pushed Chery to relocate to Russia.

Chinese automaker Chery Automobile has relocated production from a plant in Ukraine to a facility in Russia, local news agency SeeNews Ukraine has reported. The move will see Chery models produced at the Derways plant in Cherkessk, Russia, while production at the Zaporizhzhia Automobile Building Plant (ZAZ) in Ukraine will cease.
