Akebono Brake trims outlook.
Predicts loss despite higher revenues
Akebono Brake has lowered its profitability outlook for the financial year ended March 2015, even though it expects revenues to have risen in the period. According to Dow Jones Institutional News, the supplier now estimates a loss of JPY6 billion for the full financial year, compared with its earlier projection of a profit of JPY600 million. The company now hopes to post a pre-tax profit of JPY3 billion, down from an earlier estimate of JPY5.6 billion. This projected reduction in profitability and margins is despite an estimate that annual revenues totalled JPY254 billion, up from a previous estimate of JPY251 billion.
