GM's OnStar to offer 4G connectivity in China; Daimler, Baidu join hands in connected car push
Chinese technology companies such as Baidu are increasingly playing a critical role in automakers' technology strategies.
Automakers in China are pushing the technology frontier in an effort to differentiate their products. At the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Asia (25−27 May) in Shanghai, several automakers have showcased their latest technology offerings and tie-ups with local technology players to enhance their connected car services going forward. Important among these were the technology showcases by General Motors (GM) and Daimler.
