Visteon to close facility in US' Michigan state – report
To affect 151 employees
Visteon will permanently close its facility in Holland, Michigan (United states) due to loss of customer business and competitive pressure to consolidate its business operations, the company said in a notice to Michigan government on 30 June. As per the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the state, Visteon said the closure will affect 151 employees beginning 1 September 2015. Visteon said in the notice that the employees do not have union bumping rights and they will be separated in phases as work is transferred, with terminations expected to happen between 1 September 2015 and 31 December 2015.
