Japanese regulator approves new law on use of mirrorless cars
US is likely to adopt similar rules in 2018, followed by China
Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT) revised a law to approve the use of "camera monitoring systems" (CMS) in vehicles instead of rear-view mirrors.
