Ford and others invest USD6.6 million in 3D map company Civil Maps – reports
Start-up firm uses AI software to aggregate raw 3D data from sensors on self-driving cars to create highly detailed maps for use in autonomous vehicles
Ford, Motus Ventures, Wicklow Capital, StartX Stanford, and AME Cloud Ventures have invested a combined USD6.6 million in a company called Civil Maps, which develops three-dimensional maps for autonomous cars.
