European Commission opens probe on Dow, DuPont merger
EC’s concerns are mainly related to agriculture business; could delay whole merger plan
The European Commission (EC) has initiated a Phase II review of the proposed merger of Dow Chemicals and DuPont, saying the deal may reduce competition in areas such as crop protection and seeds and some petrochemicals, report Reuters.
