Delphi may announce locations for expanded self-driving ride-hailing service pilot programs before end 2016 – report
US supplier hopes to launch a driverless service commercially by 2022
Delphi Automotive is planning to name one US city and one European city in which it will launch a pilot ride-hailing service, equipped with self-driving vehicles, according to Automotive News. The report notes that Delphi had previously indicated Boston, Massachusetts, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States were leading candidates, as well as London and Luxembourg in Europe. The company is likely to announce its decision in December 2016, said a Delphi spokesman.
