First Opel model in compact segment to feature ACC technology

Opel will introduce its latest camera and radar-based adaptive cruise control (ACC) technology in Opel Astra hatchback and Sports Tourer models, the company said in a press release last week. The ACC system automatically adjusts vehicles speed to help driver maintain a certain distance from the vehicle ahead. The system decelerates the vehicle’s speed when approaching a slower moving vehicle, if required, by applying limited braking.
