To commercialize the lithium-ion battery-use electrolyte solution by end of 2017

Formosa Mitsui Advanced Chemicals, a 50:50 joint venture (JV) between Japan-based Mitsui Chemicals and Taiwan-based Formosa Plastics Corporation, has expanded production capacity for lithium-ion battery electrolyte, from 1,500 tons per year to 5,000 tons per year, at its plant in Ningbo, China, reports news website icis.com.
