Next-generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class to get self-driving technology of S-class – report
Automaker aims to launch Level 3 autonomy car by 2020
The next-generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class, due next year, will feature autonomous driving technology the automaker recently introduced in the updated S-Class, Autocar reported last week. Mercedes-Benz launched an updated S-Class sedan with driver assistance technologies that enabled Level 2 autonomous capability at this year’s Shanghai Auto Show in China. The flagship sedan featured newly developed Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Steering Assist, which help the vehicle keep a safe distance from vehicle ahead and steer automatically.
