WABCO, Nexteer to jointly develop active steering systems for commercial vehicles
Agreement consistent with WABCO’s plan to develop products for self-driving commercial vehicles
WABCO Holdings has entered a long-term cooperation agreement with Nexteer Automotive to jointly develop and supply active steering systems for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, the two companies said in a joint press release on 29 August. The active steering system will integrate Nexteer’s MagnaSteer actuation technology with RH Sheppard’s suite of power steering gears.
