Signs MOU with China Unicom to develop predictive analytic platform

Hyundai has opened its first global ‘Big Data Center’ in Guian, Guizhou province (China) to collect and analyse vast amount of data generated from its connected vehicles, the South Korean automaker said in a press release on 26 September. The data center is located in a five-story building in Guian. Hyundai shares the building with Baidu, the leading internet search engine provider in China. The center is strategically located in Guian, which is considered as an epicenter for big data with presence of several information technology (IT) companies, including Apple, IBM, Alibaba, and China Unicom.
