Delphi’s strategy to strengthen its capabilities in areas such as active safety, autonomous driving, connected cars, electronics and software through key acquisitions and collaborations has created a strong foundation for Aptiv to secure notable growth in the coming years

Delphi Automotive’s decision to spin off its ‘Powertrain Systems’ business into a standalone company was one of the key corporate developments in the automotive supplier industry in 2017. The spin-off was completed last month, over three months ahead of the schedule, when the erstwhile Delphi started operation with a new brand name ‘Aptiv’, while the company’s Powertrain System business continued to operate as a standalone company with the legacy name, albeit with a slight change, it is now called ‘Delphi Technologies’.
