Japanese automaker plans to equip most of its vehicles in its domestic market with data communication module

Toyota has equipped the new Corolla Sport and Crown sedan with an on-board ‘data communication module’ (DCM), the Japanese automaker said in a press release. DCM allows the Japanese automaker to offer various connected services to T-Connect subscribers through its Mobility Service Platform (MSPF), including cloud-based, real-time navigation, e-care driving guidance, e-care health check report, insurance-based driving behavior data and HELPNET which is an emergency call service linked to air bag deployment.
