Lear opens new plant in US to manufacture seats
New plant to supply seats to GM’s plants in Flint and Fort Wayne
On 11 August, Lear held an opening ceremony for a new plant in Flint, Michigan (United States), the US-based supplier said in a press release yesterday. The 156,000-sqare feet plant will produce seats for just-in-time delivery to General Motors’ (GM) vehicle assembly plants in Flint as well as in Fort Wayne, Indiana (United States). The plant will employ around 600 people by the end of 2019, including 400 new employees.
